Listen Online: The Flaming Lips’ 6-Hour Song

Posted September 21

Got any plans tonight? Too bad. Cancel them. The Flaming Lips have finally released their storied 6-hour-long song.

We first heard about the jam, titled “I Found This Star On The Ground,” via frontman Wayne Coyne’s Twitter account. And then we learned that fans could get their name in said song if they donated $100 to OK Humane Society. Now, that mammoth, hopefully wondrous (we haven’t had time listen to the whole thing yet) jam is out, and embedded below, with Sean Lennon reading out those generous names.

According to a Flaming Lips fansite, the song will come with the soon-to-be-released “Strobo Trip Light Phase Illusion Toy” (pictured above), in addition to two new jams, “Evil Minds” and “Butterfly, How Long Does It Take to Die.” (Check out Consequence of Sound for those).
