Do you have skills, stamina and star power? Do you possess drive, desire and a dedication to do-gooding? Do you just really dig a good turn around the dance floor? Well, then, we want YOU to take part in the O Music Award’s attempt to break the Guinness World Record for Longest Team Dance Marathon.
In order to kick off the O Music Awards right, we’re throwing a 24-hour dance party starting on Sunday, October 30, at Los Angeles’ The Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip. Special guest DJs and drop-in celebrities are consequently not out of the question.
The whole deal be livestreamed right here on OMusicAwards.com, and will wrap up after 24 hours when we nab the record (hopefully).
Pretty cool, right? Well, it gets better. Our troupe of brave dancers won’t be tangoing and twisting in vain: We plan to use this World Record attempt to raise awareness against bullying by allowing fans to donate money during the stream.
Funds will be split between GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), It Gets Better Project, The Gay Straight Alliance Network (GSA), Human Rights Campaign (HRC), The Trevor Project and GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation). Fans will also be able to tap into social media to support the cause and root for their favorite dancers.
If you want to take part in our dance party — and if the below guidelines apply — hit us up at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more info, click here.
- Meals, snacks and refreshments will be provided
