3 O Music Awards Nominees Drop Videos: Bjork, Kina Grannis & Portugal. The Man

Posted November 3

It seems that our O Music Awards winners and nominees won’t be resting on their laurels anytime soon — in the last week, three members of our stable of digital talent dropped new videos: Kina Grannis, Bjork and Portugal. The Man.

Our O Music Award winner for Best Web-Born Artist Kina Grannis just dropped a video for the song “In Your Arms” (off of Stairwells) featuring 280,000 jelly beans. The stop-motion masterpiece took 22 months to create — no word on how long it took to eat. Watch the making-of here.

Digital Genius Award winner Bjork just debuted a video for “Thunderbolt” (off of Biophilia) on Boing Boing, featuring footage from her summer residency at the Manchester International Festival. Bjork told BB: “Please please, do me a favour and use headphones or proper speakers when you listen.” Click on the pic above to see the vid — and do as Bjork tells you.

Best Artist With a Cameraphone nominee Portugal. The Man also dropped a stop-action video recently — for the song, “All Your Light,” off of their most recent album, In The Mountain In The Cloud. It’s not quite as sweet (pun wholly intended) as Kina’s vid, unless you enjoy watching adorable creatures masticated. (And I do.)
