Individual bands have been popping up on Google+ for months now, but today entire bands can now join the new social network thanks to the launch of Google+ pages.
Google announced today via its blog that it is officially rolling out Google+ pages worldwide today. This means that any brand, company, band etc can now create a page under its official name. This means that it will be much easier for fans to find said band, brand, etc on the network.
In the past, an individual band member could create a page at will, but unless you’re a solo act, name recognition wasn’t all there. Bands will be able to create pages here. The All American Rejects are already members of the pages club.
Keep it here in the coming weeks for our take on the new pages and how they will compete with Facebook’s own offering.
In the meantime, let us know in the comments: Will Google+ pages become essential for bands looking for exposure?
