Drinkify Gives Whole New Meaning to “Drinking Songs”

Posted November 7

There’s a lot of songs out there that were written about drinking, but what about drinks inspired by songs? That’s the idea behind a brand new music hack called Drinkify.

Drinkify — which was whipped up this past weekend at Music Hack Day Boston — uses APIs from Last.fm and the Echo Nest (and a little creativity) to supply cocktail recipes related to particular bands.

Simply plug in a band name, and the site will spit out drink instructions (which can be somewhat baffling) and play jams from that particular band. The above recipe was inspired by one of my new favorite acts, Pujol.

The possibilities for drinking games are endless… and potentially life-threatening.
