Soundcloud For Android Gets An Upgrade

Posted November 10

Not long after dropping version 2.0 of its iPhone app (and its brand new iPad iteration), O Music Awards-winning music-sharing platform Soundcloud is out with the next version of its Android app as well.

Soundcloud dropped its Android app in December of 2010, a handy tool that allowed users to both record and store sounds from their handsets, listen to other users recordings, comment on recordings, and share recordings via social networks.

With the latest iOS update, Soundcloud added a bunch of features that are now available to Android users as well:

• A new player GUI (waveform, timed comments, etc)
• Caching, which lets users listen to sounds while offline
• Slide to side navigation between sounds
• The ability to recorded a private message and send it to other users
• Overall improved UI

Android users: Have you checked out the update yet? Let us know what you think in the comments.
