And The O Music Awards Nominees Are…
Super fans, get ready to start clicking! The third O Music Awards is flickering on the horizon like a mirage (that’s actually real), and we’re primed to announce our full list of categories and nominees RIGHT NOW.
This summer we’ll be taking off across the country in a fully tricked-out bus for a 24-hour livestreamed adventure through the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll — this will be the world’s first 24-hour livestreamed awards show. We’ve enlisted the aid of The Flaming Lips to complete this endeavor. The band will be overseeing the festivities, as well as breaking a world record currently held by Jay-Z. Watch it all from any screen, from the comfort of your own cave.
The action kicks off in Memphis, Tennessee, and doesn’t stop until we reach New Orleans, Louisiana, 24 hours later. We’ll be stopping in eight cities total, where our band will play for fans and locals alike, as well as collaborate with myriad acts.
“This is all very thrilling,” you may be saying as you wring your wretched hands, “But what about the nominees!? Did my favorite make the cut?” Well, relent with the wringing, folks, because they’re listed below (and detailed on our handy voting site). And before you move from hand wringing to teeth gnashing because you don’t see your favorite listed below, take heart! We’re accepting write-in nominations on category pages until May 29th at midnight. If we like what we see, we’ll announce additional nominees on May 31st.
Now, without further idle chatter — the nominees!
