Curiosity Plays Tunes Every AM On Mars
As it turns out, will.i.am’s new tune “Reach For The Stars” is not the only song Martians will hear emanating from the Curiosity rover, which touched down on the Red Plant this August. Apparently, Curiosity starts each sol (or Martian day) with a tune.
You can check out the full playlist of tunes below, courtesy of the Mars Science Laboratory. Each day, the team updates their playlist on Curiosity’s page. While we think this is definitely a cool idea, we wish that MSL had teamed up with Spotify or another streaming service to make the tracklist playable — right now it’s just a list of tunes. We could even see a pretty sweet Spotify app in there, mingling together cosmic songs and images from the rover’s amazing journey.
In the meantime, Gizmodo has taken a crack at creating a Spotify playlist, which you can check out here.
