BandPage Launches Connect Tool To Help Bands Manage Online Identity

Posted November 13

While the Web provides musicians with tons of avenues for getting their music out there, the downside inevitably is — “tons of avenues” is a lot to keep up with. That’s why musical hub BandPage is out with a new addition today called BandPage Connect, allowing musicians to connect to even more platforms easily.

Earlier this year, music-sharing site BandPage launched a new tool called BandPage Everywhere, which let musicians update their profiles and content on BandPage and, subsequently, their websites and blogs. Today, BandPage is expanding that functionality — via BandPage Connect — to a whole new host of initial partner sites, including WordPress, Guitar Center, Midem Music Festival, PledgeMusic, Conduit Mobile, Earbits, StoryAmp, Tixie, Music XRay, Local Music Vibe, WeDemand and The Social Radio. So, for example, if you change your profile photo on BandPage, it will also change across all connected sites.

More connected sites should be added soon, as the BandPage Connect API is currently open to all developers on the BandPage Developer Portal.

BandPage also launched an offering called the BandPage Connect Center today, featuring descriptions of all connected services as well as tons of opportunities, such as setting up a mobile app with Conduit, fundraising for a tour through PledgeMusic, entering a music competition via Guitar Center, etc.
