iTunes is out with its list of top-selling commodities, and it’s quite different from Spotify’s year-end rundown, suggesting that what people want to buy perhaps might diverge from what they’re likely to rent.
New Year’s is all about making flimsy resolutions, making out with strangers, and, of course, making with the dancing. While we don’t quite care about how the general public made out in the first two categories, we were keen to know which tunes scored New Year’s in the U.S. Spotify, one of the newest and hottest music subscription services in the U.S., kindly provided us with that information.
This past summer, a military band called Sidewinder (part of the 571st Air Force Band, 131st Bomb Wing, Air National Guard) stole the collective heart of the web with its rendition of everyone’s favorite cover song, Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.” Said rendition, naturally, also scored the band an O Music Awards nomination for “Best Fan Cover.”
