Finally, friends: It’s almost showtime! The O Music Awards are mere HOURS away and after weeks and weeks of voting, you, the fans, have amassed more than 88 million votes (twice as many as last year — and we’re not done)! That is simply incredible — and in return, we’re fixing to unveil unto you an equally incredible show!
The O Music Awards are now mere hours away! As you may have heard by now, the show this year comes in the form of a 24-hour online music festival, featuring more than 50 bands (as well as some kittens, a goat and a 24-hour #drumathon courtesy of Andrew W.K.). Today, we’re happy to announce that in addition to New York and Nashville, the event will also go to down in Los Angeles, at Apogee Electronics’ Apogee Studio.
The O Music Awards are now nearly 24 hours away and we’re primed to close some categories come midnight tonight — including our Most Inspiring Fan Outreach category. While you vote, vote, vote into the night, take a moment now to meet one of our nominees, Eric Whitacre, whose “Virtual Choir” project is a testament to the power of the Web to bring musicians together.
The O Music Awards is officially TOMORROW and with it comes a TON of eclectic awards, 50+ bands playing across the country, Andrew W.K. drumming for 24 hours to set a new world record, a passel of kittens and, of course, a goat. Yes, you heard us right — a goat.
Cats and the Internet — they go together like peanut butter and jelly, a horse and carriage, “bright and sunshiney” and “day.” Yup, each only serves to make the other that much more awesome — which is why for this O Music Awards, we will be featuring our very own 24-hour cat cam, dubbed “Cat Stage.”
