Soundrop Helps Score EDM Duo A Swedish Grammi
Social music listening service Soundrop scored a major win this month during The Grammis Awards (The Swedish equivalent of the Grammys) via Sebastian Ingrosso (Swedish House Mafia) and Alesso. The duo scored the Grammi for Year’s Innovator for a single release party they held in one of Soundrop’s artist rooms via its desktop app.
Soundrop Brings Listening Parties To Facebook
Back in Turntable.fm’s heyday, bands hosted online listening parties with reckless abandon, unleashing unto the world new tracks, albums and deepcuts and conversing with fans all the while. As Turntable.fm began fading into obscurity, however, the frequency of such unveilings began to dwindle. That could all change this week, though, as Soundrop — the popular Spotify app — has integrated with Facebook, bringing listening rooms to any and all Pages looking to host a music-filled chat.
David Guetta Fans Get Their Own Social Listening Room Via Soundrop
Turntable.fm for grownups, Soundrop, made an announcement today that should be interesting to any band with a strong fan following: The Spotify app is opening up its SDK (Software Development Kit) to all users, allowing them to build apps on the Soundrop platform. The first app out of the gate? a David Guetta-themed service called “Play Guetta.”
